ISC Science offers a selection of Isotopic Standards that are designed for quantitative analysis by Isotope Dilution Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The stable "non-radioactive" Isotope Standards are certified in concentration and abundances according to ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025.

Abundance values are reported as porcentage (%) and concentration values as micrograms of element per gram of solution (μg/g). The certified concentration values were determined by ICP-MS using the primary method Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry (IDMS) and certified abundance values were determined ICP-MS using an internal method. The expanded uncertainty for each certified value was calculated as U = 2 · u, where k = 2 is the coverage factor for a 95% confidence interval and u is the combined standard uncertainty calculated according to ISO Guide 35. The value of u is intended to represent the combined effect of uncertainty components associated with the gravimetric preparation, the IDMS determination, homogeneity and stability for concentration values and the ICP-MS determination for abundance values.

Stability of this material is based upon rigorous long-term (storage conditions) testing of the solution for the certified value. This testing includes, but is not limited to, the effect of temperature.
